About Bhubaneswari Temple:
Bhuvaneshwari Temple is one of the most popular ancient temple in Guwahati dedicated to Goddess Bhuvaneswari, located at top of the beautiful Nilachal Hills. The famous Bhuvaneshwari temple is a Sacred ancient, built in honour of Bhuvaneshwari Devi is situated on the hill of Neelachal, which is a bit higher than the famous temple of Kamakhya Devi in Guwahati. According to Hinduism, Bhuvaneshwari Devi is the fourth goddess out of 10 Mahavidya Devi. It is said that this temple was built between the 7th and 9th centuries.
The temple is undergoing constructional renovation.
