Karikkakom Sree Chamundi Devi Temple or Karikkakom Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chamundi located in Thiruvananthapuram, India. This ancient temple, more than 600 years old, is situated at Karikkakom, around 7 km north of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram.
The temple enshrines a Panchaloha idol of the goddess Karikkakathamma – an incarnation of Chamundi. The rare fact about this temple is that Chamundi Devi is worshiped here in three different forms: Maha Chamundi, Raktha Chamundi, and Bala Chamundi. During the period of King’s rule this temple was the venue for imparting justice and truth. Truth and justice were tested on oath and solemnization and the punishmentsf meted out accordingly.

This is one of the best off beat places around Ongole. You will experience an adventurous ride when you enter this area. Commuting isn’t easy as it’s located inside and the road leading to it is a rocky one. Only Bikes and Bicycles can be used to reach the exact spot. Spectacular view from the small pond surrounded by hills. Water will be fresh to drink as they originate from the hills. After entering Andhra Pradesh police Firing Zone please take left side road that leads to this waterfall & Pool. It’s a wonderful place on Andhra Pradesh.

Kuntala Waterfall is a waterfall of Telangana state in India, located on Kadam river in Neradigonda mandal of Adilabad district. It is the highest waterfall in the state with a height of 50 meters. These waterfalls are in the dense forests inhabited by the Gonds. Kunta in Gondi and Telugu means pond. Kuntalu means several ponds. The waterfall originates from a confluence of several ponds that lead to the river Kadem.
The waterfall originates from the Kadam river which is known for its picturesque forests. As per the legend, the waterfall is named after Shakuntala, who was believed to have fallen in love with king Dushyanta, at the very site. Also, it is said that Shakuntala used to take bath in this Kuntala Falls. Since Gond tribes mostly live here, the waterfall’s name is derived from the world ‘Kunta’ which means pond in both Gondi and Tamil. The word ‘Kuntalu’ stands for multiple ponds, and this waterfall is created by the confluence of several ponds which drains from the river.
