About Amarnath Temple:

The temple is reported to be about 5,000 years old and people say it is even mentioned in ancient Hindu texts. The cave was discovered by a shepherd named Buta Malik, who was a Muslim, in 1850. And the  Amarnath Yatra is a difficult journey, despite the facilities and security provided by the J&K government. For the 56-day long annual pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath Ji, the registration process will begin on April 1st.

The best time for visiting Amarnath is between May and September. It was a very great experience going amarnath but the roads are too small also the temperature is quite low with 0% oxygen medical fitness is compulsory. People below 13 and above 75 not allowed for Amarnath Yatra.

Amarnath is one of the most famous pilgrimage destinations of India and is organized every year by the government of Jammu and Kashmir. The shrine has an important part to play in Hindu culture and is considered to be one of the holiest shrines
