About Gandipet Park:
The park has been developed by the HMDA as part of the Osman Sagar Lake development and beautification effort. It spreads over an area of 18 acres and the project cost was Rs 35.6 crores.
Along with the greenery, it has an amphitheatre with 1200 seating capacity, an entrance plaza which is adorned with 12 welcome arches and a driveway with cobblestone, a flower terrace, picnic zones, walkways and art pavilions, gazebos and a toilet block. The park also has food courts.
According to HMDA officials, the authorities wanted to make it a “one-stop destination for nature lovers, art lovers and cultural events.”
