Jonnawada Kamakshi Temple is a famous temple dedicated to the goddess Kamakshi and Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy, one of Shakti’s variations, on the banks of the Penna River.
It is famous for the swamy of Sri Mallikarjuna and the temple of Kamakshi amma built-in 1150. The Kamakshi goddess is thought to be Shakti’s incarnation. Sri Jagadguru Adhi Sankaracharya built a ‘ Sri Chakram.
