St. George Church Kadamattom is governed by Malankara Orthodox Church founded by Saint Thomas and is bound by the 1934 constitution of churches. The age old church founded by Mar Abo about 1600 years ago, the teacher mentor of Kadamattathu Kathanar, is a part of the diocese of Kandanad West which falls under the rule of Malankara Orthodox Church
